Nothing left to say...

The most pathetic performance by India in the world cup leaves very little to say. We were outplayed by Bangladesh in all the three departments of the game. India looked like the minnows while Bangladesh played like professionals. Wrong decisions began right from the toss, where Dravid elected to bat in a moisture covered pitch and outfield where getting through the first 15 overs is hell. Then the decision to leave Kumble out in a spinning pitch proved equally disastrous.

I agree, none of these decisions would have been criticized if India had managed to win emphatically, but the point of the matter is that we lost. And going to the next stage seems a daunting task. We have to win the next two matches and both with big margins to get a better net run rate to advance.

But we were not the only ones who gave a shocking performance. Ireland upset Pakistan in a shocking way. Their exit from the first round now seems certain. Complacency seems to be a serious problem plaguing both the sides which have won the world cup once.

Leaving cricket aside, Both football and F1 provided some solace to my damaged pride. Chelsea won and the gap between it and ManU remains 6 points. I am keeping my fingers crossed that they manage to close down the gap and win the premiership league. In F1 Raikkonen and Ferrari won the grand prix which finished before some time. Step Aside alonso.....your time is over.

I like the sport.
In Argentina the favorite is futbool.

My post alludes to the fact that many women do not enjoy it. You want to see it?

A nice week!

That was pathetic cricket from Indian team. What else can we expect if millions of dollars rain on them thru modelling alone, anyways.

Believe me, One thing I have learnt while doing the project, is that I am not at all a help while doing anything....I have messed up so many times that I have lost count. Just the other day, out culture got contaminated because "someone" forgot to switch on the UV in the laminar air flow and that same "someone" dropped the cotton plug on the floor.... Needless to say, that "someone" is ME :-((

My favorite sport is also football, but in India, where cricket is not a sport, but a religion, it is difficult not to follow cricket.....will check out your post...

@ Keshi:
Cricket is not pure luck, Keshi....yeah, quite a few elements of the game are based on luck, but at the end of the day, it is the professionalism of the players that matters... and more often than not, the better team wins.

They are not cricketers...they are models and actors who play cricket when they have free time....we should ban them from appearing in ads and their match fee should be performance linked.

India, professional?? Well, the way they played yesterday they didn't look professional from any angle. hope they will improve and make it through to the next stage...

haha Ganesh I said that cos ur the one who said that Cricket depends on Professionalism. It sure didnt the other day even tho India is a better team than Bangladesh. So what happened the other day must be some bad luck :) Thats what i meant.
